The 2024 Race is Sunday, April 28.

Make friends, stay fit, and support a good cause in Camp Tecumseh’s eighth annual Running with Raccoons 5K run/walk on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Whether you’re a serious runner, or just want to come back to Camp, we hope you’ll join us for a festive afternoon as we raise money to benefit Camp Tecumseh’s campership fund. A huge part of the Tecumseh culture is building relationships and sharing love with our family, friends, and neighbors. We encourage you to invite someone to join you for the 5K!

Pricing & Registration

Adult Registration: $30

Youth Registration: $25

In addition to the 5K, we will be hosting a Rookie Run for Kids prior to the race. For ages 3 – 10, the Rookie Run is included in the price of a youth registration.

Make sure you’re ready on the big day.

Whether you’re running, walking, skipping, jumping, or rolling the chip-timed course, we want to make sure you’re ready to go on Race Day.

Packet Pickup

You can pick up your race packet that includes your bib, gift, T-shirt (if you registered before the early bird deadline), and other goodies at Camp Tecumseh, on the day of the race.

Parking

When you arrive, follow the parking signs to the Tecumseh Leadership Center parking lot and the Kampen & Scheumann parking lot. There may also be overflow parking across the road from the Tecumseh Leadership Center parking lot. Once you’ve parked, you can walk to Kampen & Scheumann Lodges.

What to bring & leave at home

Make sure you bring some good shoes, appropriate clothing, and a water bottle. If you’re bringing small children, feel free to bring an all-terrain stroller. Please leave pets and bikes at home.

Course Map

The 5K course starts in Lake Village in the pioneer settlement and ends at Kampen lodge. Snaking down Lake road, through the River Village, the pine forest and back along the Lake Village cabins, few races offer this kind of scenery.
