NEW CAMPER FAMILY

Registration for families who have never attended Camp Tecumseh

Sign Up and Register

Your Camp Tecumseh adventure is right around the corner.

Next summer is closer than you think. Browse our calendar to learn more about session dates, session availability, and current pricing. If a session is available, we have a spot for your camper! If it is waitlisted, it has already filled. However, join our waitlist and you’ll be notified of availability as spots open up. If you wish to join our waitlist, please fill out our Camp Application. We cannot guarantee spots will become available for campers on the waitlist.

Affording Camp

We recognize that our families have differing abilities to pay, so Camp Tecumseh YMCA has instituted a voluntary 2-tier pricing program for our Summer Overnight and Equestrian programs. All campers will have the same experience regardless of which tier a family has chosen. The selected tier is confidential. This system allows us to continue offering an incredible camp experience with exceptional staff, activities, and facilities while making camp accessible to as many families as possible.

Tier A

This is the cost to provide a week of camp at Camp Tecumseh. If you are able to pay this amount we ask that you do so. Thank you!

  • Overnight Camp $1,100
  • Equestrian Camp $1,200
Tier B

This is a partially subsidized rate made possible by the generous donations of friends of Camp Tecumseh, through our annual fund, endowment, and our Tecumseh Society. If you choose this tier, you will receive this automatic subsidized rate.

  • Overnight Camp $910
  • Equestrian Camp $1,010
Additional Financial Assistance

Additional assistance, greater than the subsidized rate above, is available through our Campership Application. Please register your camper first using Tier B, and pay the $100 deposit. Fill out the form once per household, and include all campers applying. In most circumstances financial aid decisions are made and communicated back with families within 1 week of application. Should you have any questions about financial assistance, you may contact us at 765-564-2898 or email daynah@camptecumseh.org.

Horsemanship

For Overnight campers (ages 8-12) who want more time with horses

Horsemanship is the perfect option for campers who love overnight camp but want to spend time with horses. Taking up one Newdl period during the mornings, horsemanship allows campers to choose one other morning Newdls and take part in all afternoon and evening overnight camp activities. Upon arriving at the barn, campers will be fitted with a helmet, receive a ground lesson, and head out to the arena for a riding lesson where their horse will be tacked up and ready to go. Horsemanship campers go on an extended trail ride through the pine forest led by our qualified barn staff. On Saturday at check-out, families are welcome at the barn to meet the camper’s horse.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When are Camp fees due?

    Overnight Camps

A $100 non-refundable registration fee will be required at the time of registration. There are two options to pay the remaining balance:

Option 1: Pay the full balance at the time of registration.

Option 2: Camp Tecumseh will automatically charge three equal installments on November 15, January 15, and March 15.

Note: Regardless of which option you choose, Camp Tecumseh will be automatically charging any remaining balance on March 15, unless already paid.

    Day Camp

A $50 non-refundable registration fee will be required at the time of Day Camp Registration. The remaining Day Camp fees will be charged on May 29.

  • Can my camper stay over a weekend between sessions?

For Overnight/Equestrian campers who are attending multiple sessions, we only offer the ability for campers to stay over on specific weekends where we are already running other programs. You will have the option to select the Stay Over in “Additional Options” in this online registration. Campers must be registered for both weeks to be able to participate in the stayover weekend. No partial stay options are available. The following weekends are the only weekends where campers will be allowed to stay over between sessions:

    Weeks 1 & 2

    Weeks 3 & 4

    Weeks 5 & 6

    Weeks 7 & 8

A $60 Stay Over fee will be applied to your account for campers choosing to participate in the stay over programming. Campers will be required to stay the entire weekend. Should you decide to pick your child up for the weekend instead of staying over, campers should be picked up during normal check out and checked back in through the normal drive-through check in line at your assigned time. Please note: The Stay over weekend is included for all CILT Sessions at no additional cost.

Laundry Service is available for all Stayover Campers. It is $12 and will come out of their Trading Post Account. Campers will be given a reusable laundry bag to keep.

  • What does "waitlist" mean?

Waitlist means a session is filled and a waitlist is forming for the session. The waitlist is an overall number and not based on age. Camp Tecumseh cannot guarantee spots will become available for campers placed on the waitlist. Changes and cancellations often occur before each camp session, especially around each installment payment – November 15, January 15, and March 15. We will also continue to offer spots up until each week starts. If a spot becomes available for your camper, you will be notified via email and followed up via phone. If there is no response after a total of three business days, we will move on to the next eager name on the waitlist and your camper will be removed from this waitlist.

There is no fee to join the waitlists!

  • What are your system requirements for online registration?

Our site works with all computer web browsers, but works best on Chrome and Firefox.

  • Why do I need an account to register?

Like many websites, we set up online accounts so you can gain access to your information in the future. Once inside you can adjust your payment information, change a cabin mate request, submit camper Health forms, and add or view Trading Post funds. Be sure to keep your information safe because you will need to use your account to register each year if you choose to sign up again.

  • What should I use as a username?

We suggest using the email that you use most often because this will default as the email that will receive all email coorespondance from camp. You must use this same email address as your username every time you log in to your account.

  • How do I log in to my Camp Tecumseh account later?

The Login link is in the menu of our website (three bars in the very top right). It will ask you for the email account and the password you used when your account was set up.

  • I lost my username. What do I do?

Your username is your email address on file. If you do not remember which email address is on file, please contact our office for assistance at 765-564-2898.

  • I have more than one child coming to camp. Do I need to set up an account for each camper?

No, please use the account that you set up while registering your first camper to register another camper. In the Camper Application, you can chose to add and additional Camper. Also, don’t forget that your camper’s information will be ready in our system for when you want to sign up for next year!

  • I have a unique custodial situation that impacts registration. How can I register my camper(s)?

We recognize that every situation is different, so please give our office a call (765-564-2898) so we can work together to figure out a solution that works for your camper(s).

  • Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes! Camp Tecumseh is a charitable organization. Some fee assistance may be available for families that cannot afford the full fee.

To apply for assistance, please fill out just one form with the link below and include all your campers applying. In most circumstances financial aid decisions are made and communicated back with families within 1 week of application. Any campers on the waiting list may be communicated with at a later date, as we are unable to award a campership until campers are enrolled. By registering for multiple camp weeks this disqualifies you from camperships.

Call 765-564-2898 or email daynah@camptecumseh.org for more information.

  • Why am I only allowed to put in one cabin mate request?

Our primary goal with the cabinmate policy is to make sure that every camper has the best possible camp experience, whether they come with a friend or if they come not knowing anyone. To that end, if you are making a request, please communicate with the other family to make sure they are mutually requesting your camper as well.

Things to consider when making a request:

    • We can only guarantee MUTUAL ONE-TO-ONE REQUESTS.
    • Groups of three can only be honored if it is MUTUAL by everyone. Do not assume and communicate with the other families first.
    • Groups of four or more campers will be split up into even groups of two. No exceptions.
    • We are not able to accommodate Unit (Brave, Blazer, Warrior, Pathfinder) requests.
  • I want to change the week for which my child is registered. Can I do that online?

No. Once your registration fee is paid, you cannot make changes to your registered dates online except to add additional camp weeks. If you need to make changes in your camp dates, please email our registrar at office@camptecumseh.org. All changes must be requested in writing.

  • What is your Cancellation Policy?

Cancellation Policy: The registration deposit ($100/week for Overnight and Equestrian Camp, $200 for CILTs and Adventure trips, and $50/week for Day Camp) is a registration charge, and is neither refundable nor transferable to another child under any circumstances. All fees are due by March 15 for Overnight Camp programming, and May 29 for Day Camp.

Cancellations for overnight camps will follow the following fee scheduled:

    • 60+ Days prior to the start of your camper’s session:
      • Overnight Camp & Equestrian Camp: $100 per camper/per week
      • CILTS & Adventure Trips: $200 per camper/per week
    • 30-60 Days prior to the start of your camper’s session:
      • Overnight Camp & Equestrian Camp: $200 per camper/per week
      • CILTS & Adventure Trips: $400 per camper/per week
    • 0-29 Days prior to your camper’s session:
      • No refund will be given for any reason other than medical

Day Camp Cancellations received 14 days before your session start will forfeit the $50 non-refundable deposit, per week/per camper.

A note from your camper’s pediatrician is required for all medical related cancellations in order to receive any refund. Refunds will not be issued for campers going home early for illness, disciplinary action, or homesickness.

Cancellations cannot be completed through your online account. We must have written documentation of all registration changes. If you need to cancel, please email your request to our Registrar at office@camptecumseh.org. Ensure you receive cancellation confirmation from our team.

Please reach out to office@camptecumseh.org or call 765-564-2898 with any questions.

  • Can I cancel my camper's registration online?

Sorry, no. We must have all cancellation requests given to us in writing (email is acceptable) and registration fees are non-refundable. Please email your cancellation to the registrar at registrar@camptecumseh.org or call the camp office for more information.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay using a credit card, debit card, or eCheck account.

Please note: Payments made using a Credit Card will incur a processing fee of 3.00% or the percentage allowed by the card brand, whichever is lower. We do not add processing fees on Debit Card or eCheck transactions. The 3% fee reflects the amount charged to us by our credit card processor for transactions made via credit card. Our goal is not to profit from these fees but to ensure that Camp Tecumseh’s resources are directed toward supporting camp operations, including programming and facility maintenance, rather than covering credit card processing costs.

To accommodate camper families, we offer alternative payment methods without any additional fees, including eChecks, regular checks, and debit cards. If you’d like to avoid the convenience fee associated with payments, we encourage you to use one of these options as your default payment method so no convenience fees are assessed for future payments.

  • What is Camp Tecumseh's policy regarding health forms?

In order to be in compliance with state regulations, a completed health information form that includes your camper’s health history must be filled out online. In addition, overnight camper’s must have physician’s exam completed by a doctor within 12 months of their camp dates. Forms for both the exam and the health history are available in your account dashboard. Your camper could be sent home due to failure to comply with this requirement and no refund will be given. Camp Tecumseh requests that forms be sent to Camp at least 30 days before your scheduled camp session, so our health personnel have plenty of time to review them thoroughly.
