Camp Tecumseh is excited to announce a new initiative – Tecumseh Today, Tomorrow, Forever – which highlights our commitment to not just sit on the history of 100 years of impact but continue into the future.

Tecumseh Today, Tomorrow, Forever is a comprehensive campaign ensuring that Camp Tecumseh’s current and future needs are met. The comprehensive campaign gives donors the full picture of needs at Camp and allows them to give to one fund or all three.

When you give to the Annual Fund, you help create impact in a variety of ways including camperships, program development, building maintenance, and staffing. The Annual Fund is Tecumseh Today, ensuring the everyday needs of Camp are met.

As Camp continues to strive for improvement, we are planning for Tecumseh Tomorrow with capital projects across camp. The first of these projects is to replace the River Village cabins to meet the needs of campers now and into the future. In total, 9 new cabins will be built following the updated plans that have been expertly refined over decades. Upcoming projects include the river village activity center, a space for playing, gathering and delighting in the Tippecanoe River vista, and a renovated aquatics center, with more space for play and swim instruction, increased accessibility, and an improved bath house.

The Camp Tecumseh YMCA Endowment is a perpetual source of income to support the mission of Camp long into the future, Tecumseh Forever. By using the interest of invested funds, the endowment supports the greatest needs of Camp Tecumseh, including but not limited to program development, camperships, staffing, and facility improvements. Individuals can give to the endowment anytime through cash, stock, and qualified charitable distributions, but can also give to the endowment fund as a planned gift. The Trailblazer Society is Camp’s official way of recognizing special friends of camp who have made provisions through their estate plans, or a significant contribution to the Camp Tecumseh YMCA Endowment Fund.

 

A gift to any of these efforts and of every size is important and necessary. From a $10 monthly donation, up to a cabin sponsorship and beyond, each donation is a testament to the commitment to making a difference at Camp. Together, giving to the annual fund, capital fund, and endowment fund ensures Camp Tecumseh YMCA can thrive in the present while strategically planning for future growth. Annual fund contributions keep Camp operational and support the scholarship needs of campers and groups. The capital campaign donations build the foundation of development and growth. The endowment fund secures a stable financial status for generations to come. This comprehensive approach ensures a balanced and resilient financial structure, supporting both immediate needs and long-term endeavors.
