THE CAMPAIGN TO SECURE CAMP TECUMSEH’S FUTURE

At Camp Tecumseh, growth is more than just a seasonal occurrence—it’s our vision for each and every camper, guest, and staff. Every summer, new friendships blossom, character deepens, and faith takes root. Whether it’s a young boy tapping into his adventurous nature or a teen camper developing their leadership skills by learning from and watching their role model counselors, each day brings transformative moments.

To ensure these moments continue for generations to come, Camp Tecumseh YMCA has launched a comprehensive fundraising campaign: Tecumseh Today, Tomorrow, and Forever. This initiative is designed to address immediate needs, plan for the future, and secure long-term sustainability through three focused giving areas: the Annual Fund, Capital Campaigns, and Endowment.

TECUMSEH TODAY – ANNUAL FUND

The Annual Fund fuels the heart of Camp’s operations. Donations help provide scholarships to campers who otherwise couldn’t afford to attend, ensuring that no child is left out due to financial hardship. It also supports program development, facilities maintenance, and the recruitment and training of top-tier staff. From chapel songs in the morning to deep cabin conversations at night, every experience is made possible in part by the generosity of donors contributing to Tecumseh Today.

TECUMSEH TOMORROW – CAPITAL CAMPAIGNS

To continue offering impactful experiences, Tecumseh Tomorrow invests in the spaces that make growth possible. Construction is underway to replace River Village cabins with updated, camper-focused designs. Plans are also underway for a new River Village Activity Center, designed for play and community-building, and an expanded Aquatics Center that enhances accessibility and swim instruction. These capital projects are about more than just buildings—they’re about creating spaces that inspire growth and connection.

TECUMSEH FOREVER – ENDOWMENT

The Camp Tecumseh Endowment provides a steady stream of income to support Camp’s mission in perpetuity. This fund addresses Camp’s greatest needs over time, including scholarships, staff support, and facility improvements. Donors who contribute to the endowment—especially through planned gifts and estate provisions—are recognized in the Trailblazer Society, a special group of individuals committed to leaving a legacy of growth and ensuring the long-term success of Tecumseh Forever.

 

 

No matter your capacity, every gift helps Camp grow. Donors can contribute through one-time gifts, recurring monthly donations, multi-year pledges, donor advised funds, IRA distributions, stock gifts, or even through bequests and life insurance. Sponsorship opportunities, such as naming a cabin, are also available.
