Meet the OE Team

Fall 2025

These are members of the Outdoor Education team that will host and facilitate immersive outdoor field trips. They help kids experience the outdoors through education while matching state standards and providing a unique field trip. Scroll to learn more about the team.

Each season, the OE staff members choose a nature name. They stick to that name all season long, with teachers and students, and with each other.

- An interesting job you’ve had previous to working at camp: A drum teacher, it was one of the main reasons why i learned english, was because i wanted to launch my international career as a drummer.

- Where are you from? I was born thousands of years ago but was eventually frozen solid when I was caught in an avalanche, luckily the ice eventually melted as what is now known as Lafayette, where I have resided for 2 decades now.
- An interesting job you’ve had previous to working at camp: Back in the Ice Age, I had a job at Popeyes
- Dream vacation? Crossing the old Asian American land bridge
- Favorite movie? Ice Age

- Where are you from? I was born thousands of years ago but was eventually frozen solid when I was caught in an avalanche, luckily the ice eventually melted as what is now known as Lafayette, where I have resided for 2 decades now.

- An interesting job you’ve had previous to working at camp: I was an english teacher in my city teaching children from 6-13 years old

- Where are you from? I first formed in a small cumulonimbus cloud over the hills of middle Tennessee, but now you can hear me rolling through the troposphere over Camp Tecumseh!
- An interesting job you’ve had previous to working at camp: I provided spooky thunderclaps during the halloween season
- Dream vacation? I’ve always dreamt of bringing my sound to the rain forest
- Favorite movie? Twister (1996)

- Where are you from? As a sun shined down on a mighty ever green tree, a sweet clementine was born. After adventuring in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Washington D.C, this orange fruit has found her home in Brookston, Indiana
- An interesting job you’ve had previous to working at camp: Worked in mental health advocacy in a factory in a research lab and at the White House
- Dream vacation? As a bright and colorful fruit, clementine wants to visit somewhere like antarctica or norway to see the polar stratospheric clouds

- Favorite movie? Kilimanjaro: to the Roof of Africa (2002)

- Dream vacation? Seeing some big rocks, so Grand Canyon, maybe?
- Favorite movie? Anything with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

- Dream vacation? As an oak tree, I’d love to ride the bumper cars, and try cotton candy
- Favorite movie? The Secret Long Tree Society
