You don’t need a stamp to say hello at Camp

Letters and Packages

If you like the personal touch of creating your own care package or handwritten letter, avoid the postage and worrying it will arrive on time by dropping it off with the Trading Post staff during Check-in! Please make sure each letter and/or package is labeled with your camper’s first and last name, cabin (will be given at Check-in), and the day you would like it delivered during the week (packages can be delivered Monday-Friday). Packages and mail are delivered to campers once daily, just after lunch.

If you need to mail a package to camp, address it as follows:

We can only accept packages from USPS, UPS, and FedEx. We are unable to confirm delivery to each camper as our team fields hundreds of packages a day.

Email Your Camper

Stay in touch with your camper throughout the week via email. Make sure to include your camper’s first and last name and cabin name in the subject line. 50 cents will be charged to your camper’s Trading Post account for each page. Tip: Keep your messages short and full of encouragement! Please limit e-mails to text only (emojis don’t print well). 

Please note:  Any emails deemed inappropriate by Camp Tecumseh staff will not be delivered to campers. Campers will not be able to email outgoing messages, but they can write letters home! Tip: send your camper with pre-address envelopes to ensure they make it to you.

Emails will be charged to your camper’s Trading Post Account at the end of the week, but emails are delivered daily! We get hundred of emails daily, so it is easier to batch the charges.

Lost & Found

Did your camper forget something?

It is our goal to send campers home with all their belongings, but we understand sometimes things get left behind. This year, we are using a new system called Traista to help us organize our Lost and Found process. Here, parents can file a claim for a lost item including a description and a picture, and the system will notify staff.

When entering a description, try to be as specific as possible, including details like size, color, brand, condition, or anything else that might help staff find your item. To file a lost item claim, please visit the following link and hit the big blue “File a Claim” button at the top. If you are missing multiple items, please file a different claim for each item.

Please check your email regularly as we will notify you if we’ve found the item via email. Pick-up options/shipping rates will also be sent out via email if your item is found.
