For the next 100 years

There has been only one true constant throughout our 101 year history: change. From tents to cabins, one dining hall to two dining halls, adding a village, and beyond, Camp Tecumseh has grown and adapted in large variety of ways. And yet, the impact of a Tecumseh experience has remained.

Through the generous support of our giving community, we are setting Camp up for years to come – with new buildings and facilities, but more importantly, more impact.

CABINS

We are currently in the process of replacing all older cabins in River Village to update aging and outdated structures, and to provide increased space and comfort for campers and guests. Construction is underway in the main River Village loop to add four new duplexes (much like the two pictured above that were completed in 2025).

RIVER VILLAGE ACTIVITY CENTER

Our River Lodge has served us longer than any other building at Camp. For 101 years, thousands of kids and adults have lovingly worn that building into retirement. As we look ahead, we aim to create a space that brings people together for a wide variety of activities. We hope it pays homage to the original building and will spike nostalgia to those who visit. We also plan for it to incorporate the stunning Tippecanoe River views in a more comprehensive way.

WELCOME AND ADMINISTRATIVE CENTER

To make room for an all new River Village Activity Center, we will need to move our full-time staff offices from the current River Lodge up to the Tecumseh Leadership Center. This move, and subsequent name change to the Welcome and Administrative Center, will allow us more room for a growing full-time staff team. It will also allow us to be easier to find for new guests and camper families.

The offices will be built into the existing Tecumseh Leadership Center. This aerial drawing shows a new parking lot.
